Soft Toy Hospital - Surgery Risks (Seam Mend)

Seam Mend, as the name implies, is a mending technique that closes a hole into a thin seam line. This technique is the cheapest and the fastest, but can only be done if there is minor to no fabric loss on both sides of the damaged area. If there is significant fabric loss (2 rows of fibers or more, you will have to go with either an overlay or an underlay).

3. The seam mend may or may not be visible depending on the severity and complexity of the mend, as well as the type of fabric your soft toy is made of.
